Is it possible to make my own grey scales to aid with digital home printing? If so how? Thanks for your time?

- One basic method is to make sheet with coloured squares and put this through your photographic process. Compare it to the monitor display and the final printed output to see what adjustments if any need to be made to your colour managment.
- Yes it is. If you have a wet darkroom. Otherwise, you can probably buy one at a real camera store or on-line at adorama.com or keh.com or bhphotovideo.com.
- You can use this one. It's accurate for a windows based system and is accurate to the Zone system. http://picasaweb.google.com/Vance.Lear/BW/photo?authkey=F9i-JaR7jbc#5156974062294008866
