CAN YOU USE BOSE DIGITAL HOME THEARTER SPEAKER SYSEM ON YOUR COMPUTER? Who Want 10 POINTS?
OK, you know the Bose Digital Home Thearter Speaker System... The one with 2 speakers, a remote, and this weird big @$$ computer tower type thing... Anyways its meant to be used as a home thearter, but is there any way to just use the 2 individual speakers on your computer. Pretty sure you can, but then do you have to use the Big computer tower thing to or what?!?!

- if there is a 1/8 inch input for sound in your receiver which would probably be the "computer tower type thing" You can use the out put of any laptop or tower in and use the Bose as monitors. Yes you can.
- as a matter of fact yes. you should have to connect your home theater system using RC cables. Correct? (they are the yellow red and white outlet things that you use for game consoles and dvd players). the audio RC cables are the red and white ones. go to walmart or radio shack etc. and get an adapter. on one end of the adapter there should be a headphone jack plug-in. (it looks like the end of a pair of headphones) on the other end there would be the red a white RC cables. plug one end to your headphone jack and connect the other to you home theater system. Hope i could help. it worked for me.
- Yes, you can use that system as your computer speaker system. Here is what you have to do. You should have 2 RCA ports on your speaker system. One is red, and the other is white. It should look like this. http://c1.neweggimages.com/productimage/82-627-005-16.jpg That is where the audio is coming from, so you have to find a way to connect that to your computer. My suggestion is to buy this cable. http://www.antarespro.com/product_images/big/1374353_1.jpg You can get this cable at any Radio Shack or Best Buy. Just ask for a RCA audio to mini headphone cable. This cable will connect to your speaker system on one side and the headphone port on your computer on the other side. Once you plug that cable in, your speaker system will work as your computer speakers. I hope this helped you.
